Nationalities and Professions
Here we will learn how to describe origins & nationalties and professions. This will be very important since sometimes we also need to ask and answer about someone’s profession, origin and nationality.
1.      Describing origins and nationalities.
Study these expressions below!
He is from Indonesia. He is indonesian
She is from England. She is English
They are from China. They are Chinese
They are from USA. They are American
She is from Japan. She is Japanese
They are from India. They are Indian
They are from Saudi Arabia. They are Arab
He is from the Netherlands. He is Dutch

2.      Describing Professions

C.    Teaching and Learning Procedure
1.      Pre-Speaking activities ( 5 minutes )
a.       The teacher greets the students, for example: “Assalamualaikum/good morning, How are you today?”.
The students answer the teacher’s greeting such as “fine, how about you?”
b.      The teacher asks the students about the material last week such as “who is still remember our material last week?”
c.       The teacher leads praying before begin teaching and learning process
d.      Provides an overview of the material to be discussed.

2.      Whilst-Speaking activities ( 75 minutes )
a.    Exploration
Ø  The teacher gives an overview of the expression described in the material
Ø  The teacher gives the students some good communication with the students
Ø  The teacher gives students the chance to ask difficult to material considered.
Ø  The teacher asks the students what they get from the materials




b.   Elaboration
Ø  The teacher asks the students to describe a picture which related with nationality and profession in front of class.

c.    Confirmation
Ø  The Teacher gives the results about the materials that have been discussed.
Ø  The teacher asks the students’ problem during the learning process.

3.      Post-Speaking activities (10 minutes )
1.      The teacher concludes the materials.
2.      Teacher gives motivation to the students.
3.      The teacher leads praying before closing the teaching and learning activity.
